MERA Networks Ranks in Global Services 100 List for 3rd Consecutive Year

MERA Networks, an Eastern Europe's leader in software R&D services for Telecom, has made it to the Global Services 100 list for the 3rd year in a row. This year MERA has not only increased its standing in the “Top 10 Emerging European Markets” category compared to 2008, but has also been listed for the first time in the “Outsourced Product Development” category.

The 2009 Global Services 100 list represents an annual research study conducted by neoIT and Global Services that identifies the top 100 global IT and BPO service providers across the globe, who have the maturity and capability to lead the next wave of services globalization.

The top 100 list and the ranks in the 11 categories are based on a scientific methodology, starting with the responses being clubbed under four broad buckets: Size (revenue, employee strength, geographies covered, etc.), customers (customer base, testimonials and references, average contract size, etc.), skills (depth and breadth of offerings, delivery capability, quality initiatives, verticals covered, etc.) and others (attrition, training, etc.).

“The Global Services 100 is like an index of globalization in the services industry. This year’s list comprises companies headquartered in 19 countries, with customer locations in over 30 countries, and service delivery locations in 31 countries. A company that figures in this list bears testimony to the fact that it can serve global customers from multiple locations”, says Ed Nair, Editor, Global Services.

“It’s great honor for us to be recognized once again by neoIT and Global Services as one of the leading service providers. Continuous inclusion in the 2009 Global Services 100 emphasizes recognition of our achievements at the international level”, comments Igor Piruyan, Vice President at MERA Networks. “The results of the survey show that these days outsourcing keeps expanding. However, it’s taking a new shape under challenging conditions. We at MERA Networks regard it as a time of opportunities and never cease to strive toward excellence through creating value to our customers”.
