MERA Networks Chooses Best Programmers among Students
April 11, 2007 — MERA Networks announced results of the Programming Contest-2007 organized for employees working at the company as well as for students studying programming technologies. It was for the third time MERA Networks ran a Programming Contest. This year more than 300 participants took part in it. For students participating in such a competition is a chance to test themselves, to evaluate their capabilities and to prove that they are the best. For MERA Networks it is a possibility to test developers’ skills, to determine which candidate is best suited to the needs of the organization and to recruit an exclusive audience. The Programming Contest-2007 was open to teams of two people. To take part in the contest participants were to do on-line tests to demonstrate their programming skills. The best teams were invited to participate in the final round of the contest, that took place on March, 25. The finalists had five hours to write solutions in C, C++ or Java to five challenging problems. Winners were selected by a panel judges according the following criteria: clarity, efficiency and portability of submitted implementation.Alexey Shmelev and Anton Lapshin, second year students, were selected winners. |
